Zowie

Pekingese

Update March 2014!

Zowie has been adopted in Tennessee! We could not be happier for her; she has found her perfect forever home! She will have a couple youngsters to play with (she LOVES kids!) and she will be the spoiled dog-princess of the household.  Just how it should be! She will also have furry brother, Japanese Chin, to play with and hang out with!  Everything about this family sounded perfect for her and we are so glad they found eachother!  We also wanted to throw out a big thanks to Luv A Chin Rescue, Japanese Chin Rescue, for referring Zowie's adopters to SNAFU Rescue! We LOVE working together with other rescues!!

Congratulations to all!

Zowie was surrendered to SNAFU Rescue when her former owners became severely ill and were no longer able to properly care for her.  She is a very very well socialized dog and was very well taken care of prior to coming into rescue.  From her pictures you can see she is missing an eye - we aren't sure what happened there exactly, but the eye had been properly removed and properly cared for medically before she came to us.  Having only one eye does not seem to affect her what so ever and def doesn't stop her from being the happy, playful puppy that she is.

Zowie is very easy going and low maintenance.  As with any long haired breed, she does need her hair brushed/bathed regularly.  She is fine with just hanging out near her people, but is happy to snuggle and give kisses if you want her to! She seems to like other dogs and gets along with her foster fur-siblings very well.  She loves chew toys and loves to play.  Her foster home does not have cats, so we are not 100% how she would do with them, but we suspect she would do well. She seems to love everyone she meets!

She is 100% potty trained and has not had one accident in her foster home! She is also crate trained and will sleep in her kennel quietly while her foster family is away from home.  At night, she sleeps in a dog bed next to the bed, but would do fine sleeping in her kennel as well.  She would do well in almost any kind of home!
