Yeezy came into SNAFU Rescue via a private party. His surrendering family wanted him to be placed in a loving home that can help manage his severe allergies.
Yeezy has a quiet, super chill, laidback and reserved disposition. His favorite pastimes include hanging around his humans, following his humans, sitting on the lap of his humans, and cuddling his humans. Yes, Yeezy is very much a Velcro Frenchie!!! He is such a friendly, happy boy who loves extra cuddles and to be snuggled. Yeezy enjoys the company of other animals (both dogs and cats) but would prefer not to share the love, pets and attention offered. He gingerly will commandeer the lap or hands of the person offering affection. Yeezy is a master at the game of fetch and really enjoys playing with most balls and toys. In true Yee fashion, he really doesn’t like to share his toys either. He is in no way aggressive rather he will nudge his way to get what he wants. Yeezy does love his outside time and fancies short jaunts around the neighborhood stopping every so often to take in the new scenery and new people. His leash skills are good but still need a little fine tuning! After a perfectly suited walk for his size, Yeezy will search for a warm place to snuggle up or preferably find a lap for a much needed nap. Did we mention napping and snuggles again?!?! Yee will always look for his people to partake in a cuddle session during his snooze. He truly just wants to be with his people all the time as he finds comfort in their presence if they happen to be in the same room as he is. Yeezy’s overall relaxed disposition allows him to get along with his furry foster siblings. He has a very kind temperament which is favorable when he is around other dogs. He has yet to meet any human (big or small) that he hasn’t fallen head over paw for! Because of his lighthearted disposition, we feel Yeezy will do perfectly well with other passive, balanced dogs and with dog savvy, gentle, respectful children of any age. Yeezy is working on jumping when greeting guests so supervision around smaller children is required. We also feel Yeezy would thrive with other furry creatures or be equally okay as in an only dog household as he enjoys all the human attention to himself. Slow introductions to other dogs and children in the household is a must and he should always be supervised to make sure both he and they are kept safe.
Yeezy is fully potty trained! As with all of our dogs, any adopter will need to be patient and willing to continue working on his potty training success as he acclimates to his new home and surroundings. He is 100% crate trained and does not have any accidents while crated but will whimper/cry if he hears his people in the background. He sleeps quietly when his foster family happens to be away from the home as he has a plush warm blanket to provide him comfort. Yeezy does sleep in his crate in the evening but would much rather share a bed and offer many cuddles with his new family!
Medically, Yeezy is in great health (outside those pesky Frenchie Allergies)! He has been neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, nares widened, allergy tested, updated on vaccinations/dewormings and has been given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian! Yeezy suffers from extreme allergies. His allergy test results will be provided to his adoptive family. He will need DAILY care when it comes to administration of allergy meds, offered cytopoint shots every 2 months, frequent bathing, medicated cleaning of folds and nose butter for his dry nose. Yeezy will need to be kept on a very strict diet and needs to avoid any allergens that can impact his health and skin.
Yeezy would do great in any type of home that has very few stairs. Although he can do a few stairs, his preference is to be carried down/up larger staircases as conquering them is beneath him. A home with a fully fenced yard will be preferred for Yeezy as he does like his time outdoors, working on perfecting his leash skills and will run if something out in the distance interests him. A multiple floor apartment style dwelling would be okay for Yeezy as long as it is on the1st floor (with little to no stairs) with an adjacent fenced area. He does love to sniff and explore outside and is happy to do so in the yard or even on a short walk. Since Yeezy is a quiet, chill little boy, we think he would love to go to work with his new family if they wanted to take him with them to the office. He would really love If his family had a work from home or stay at home parent as he enjoys the company of his humans. If his adoptive family is not not able to take him to work or stay at home with him, no problem at all - he's completely happy sleeping the day away as long as he has a warm area, a soft blanket and his people can arrange for a mid-day potty break for him! Yeezy is a little snuggle bug looking for a family that can offer unlimited lap time, allow him to be held like a baby, offer many belly scratches, daily walks and lots of love and attention. He will repay all the love with his unwavering loyalty! Yeezy is truly the sweetest boy in need of a family that has allergy experience that is willing to do anything and everything possible to ensure his ongoing allergy issues are properly maintained and addressed on a daily basis.
If you feel like your family might be the perfect forever home for Yeezy, please submit an adoption application for him.
NOTE: Please note that it will likely be at *least* a 3-4 week minimum before you hear back from us after submitting an adoption application. We typically accept for new applications for a period of 7 days or until 20 applications have been received for any newly available dog. After that time period, the applications are sent on to the foster family for review and that usually takes from at *least* a few days to a week to sort through the applications, etc. :-) Most of our dogs receive several applications so this process does take some time, especially on dogs who are more popular for one reason or another. We do require phone interviews to be conducted between the foster family and potential adopters, vet reference checks and a home visit to be conducted for all potential adopters, if they are selected as the top choice applicant, which will also take time to complete. That being said, we do always let our applicants know if they are chosen or not. :-)
IF you happen to not be chosen, please don't feel discouraged as, again, we usually get several applications for each dog, and sometimes it can be very difficult to choose just one adopter. In those cases, we usually offer to keep the applications for adoption on file for any future dogs that come into our rescue. :-)
ALL adopters are required to come and pick up their adopted dogs in person from the dog's foster home (we do not ship any of our dogs). Please have road/driving transport plans in place to pick up an adopted dog before you apply! While we are not against adopters flying a foster dog in cabin on a commercial flight, please keep in mind that many are not good candidates for flying due to size and/or being a brachycephalic/short nosed breed.
If an adopter can not keep one of our grads, for any reason at all, at ANY point in time, they *must* be willing and able to return their adopted dog to his/her original foster home, despite distance and any costs that would be required to do so.
