NOTE: Please note that it will likely be at *least* a 3-4 week minimum before you hear back from us after submitting an adoption application. We typically accept for new applications for a period of 7 days or until 20 applications have been received for any newly available dog. After that time period, the applications are sent on to the foster family for review and that usually takes from at *least* a few days to a week to sort through the applications, etc. :-) Most of our dogs receive several applications so this process does take some time, especially on dogs who are more popular for one reason or another. We do require phone interviews to be conducted between the foster family and potential adopters, vet reference checks and a home visit to be conducted for all potential adopters, if they are selected as the top choice applicant, which will also take time to complete. That being said, we do always let our applicants know if they are chosen or not. :-)
IF you happen to not be chosen, please don't feel discouraged as, again, we usually get several applications for each dog, and sometimes it can be very difficult to choose just one adopter. In those cases, we usually offer to keep the applications for adoption on file for any future dogs that come into our rescue. :-)
ALL adopters are required to come and pick up their adopted dogs in person from the dog's foster home (we do not ship any of our dogs). Please have road/driving transport plans in place to pick up an adopted dog before you apply! While we are not against adopters flying a foster dog in cabin on a commercial flight, please keep in mind that many are not good candidates for flying due to size and/or being a brachycephalic/short nosed breed.
If an adopter can not keep one of our grads, for any reason at all, at ANY point in time, they *must* be willing and able to return their adopted dog to his/her original foster home, despite distance and any costs that would be required to do so.

Suzy came into SNAFU Rescue via a private party. Her owners wanted her placed in a loving home to live the rest of her life as a cherished pet.
When Suzy first arrived in rescue she was shy/nervous around new people but warmed up quickly. In such a short time her personality started to shine right through. Suzy is a smart, mostly active, cuddle bug who enjoys being around her people and her furry friends. You can often find Suzy galloping all around the fenced-in yard and exploring all the new smells of the outdoors. When she isn’t enjoying some outdoor playtime or a Frenchie suited walk around the neighborhood, you can find her shadowing her foster family around the house, grabbing her favorite stuffed duck toy trying to engage in a fun play session with her foster siblings. After some gentle wrestling and keep away with her fuzzy squeaky duck, Suzy will find a soft comfy bed to lay on or even better sharing one with one of her furry friends. If a human lap is available, Suzy is the first to jump on one! She can be a bit of a couch potato if allowed as she really likes to take in her favorite TV shows with her foster family. When she isn’t following her humans all around the house you can find her exploring every inch of her foster home. She is quite smart, curious and wanting to know where everything is so Suzy must be supervised when wandering the home as she doesn’t know danger. She currently lives with several furry foster siblings. Suzy made fast friends with each of them and is thriving learning what it is like to be a pet! Although she absolutely adores her foster siblings and would benefit from having a furry balanced pal in her adoptive home. Suzy is still learning how to be a pet. She is experiencing a big transition and will need leadership, consistent correction to help her learn proper dog behavior, learn proper dog manners and to know what is expected in her adoptive home. She is extremely smart, a fast learner and wants to please her humans so we know she will be a quick study! Suzy seems to get along well with every human she meets (big or small). She really has a gentle disposition and because of that her foster family believes she would be best in a home with dog-savvy, gentle, children of any age and a home with other furry members. Suzy has been around cats and does great with dog savvy cats. As with all of our dogs, we recommend slow introductions between dogs and supervision around children when introducing a new dog in your home to make sure both she and they are kept safe.
Suzy is 100% potty trained! She quickly picked up going outside as she mimicked the other dogs in the home. As with all of our dogs, any adopter will need to be able to and willing to continue working on potty training with her, offering her a consistent schedule and work with her on a signal for potty (she currently sits at the door). Suzy is 100% crate trained, has not had any accidents and sleeps quietly when his foster family happens to leave the home and as well at night. Since Suzy is the ultimate cuddle bug, we believe she would love to share a bed with her adoptive family. For her safety, we recommend a similar crating/sleeping schedule is kept for her as she doesn’t know danger.
Medically, Suzy seems to be in great health! She has been spayed, updated on vaccinations/dewormings, microchipped, HW tested, had a dental, nares widened, palate shortened and has been given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian!
Suzy would do best in a home with a fenced-in yard due to her explorative nature, her inability to know what is dangerous (opposed to a multiple floor apartment style dwelling with no yard). She would love a large yard to run and play with her furry pals! Suzy has mastered the stairs so a multi-level home would be a-okay for her! We also think Suzy would love an active family with children to play with, one that would take her on Frenchie suited walks and spend time with her out in the yard. We think she would love to go to the office with her new family since she loves people but due to her initial shy nature a quieter workplace would be best. You can’t take her to the office- that’s okay! She will happily sleep the day away in her crate as long as she has a furry buddy to keep her company, has a soft comfy blanket as long as her people can arrange a mid-day potty break for her. Ultimately, Suzy is such a love bug that will make a great addition to any family that is willing to offer her tons of unconditional love and attention!
If you feel like your family might be the perfect forever home for Suzy, please submit an adoption application for her today!!
