NOTE: Please note that it will likely be at *least* a 3-4 week minimum before you hear back from us after submitting an adoption application.  We typically accept for new applications for a period of 7 days or until 20 applications have been received for any newly available dog.  After that time period, the applications are sent on to the foster family for review and that usually takes from at *least* a few days to a week to sort through the applications, etc.  :-)  Most of our dogs receive several applications so this process does take some time, especially on dogs who are more popular for one reason or another.  We do require phone interviews to be conducted between the foster family and potential adopters, vet reference checks and a home visit to be conducted for all potential adopters, if they are selected as the top choice applicant, which will also take time to complete.   That being said, we do always let our applicants know if they are chosen or not. :-)

IF you happen to not be chosen, please don't feel discouraged as, again, we usually get several applications for each dog, and sometimes it can be very difficult to choose just one adopter.  In those cases, we usually offer to keep the applications for adoption on file for any future dogs that come into our rescue. :-)

ALL adopters are required to come and pick up their adopted dogs in person from the dog's foster home (we do not ship any of our dogs). Please have road/driving transport plans in place to pick up an adopted dog before you apply!  While we are not against adopters flying a foster dog in cabin on a commercial flight, please keep in mind that many are not good candidates for flying due to size and/or being a brachycephalic/short nosed breed.

If an adopter can not keep one of our grads, for any reason at all, at ANY point in time, they *must* be willing and able to return their adopted dog to his/her original foster home, despite distance and any costs that would be required to do so.

Norm came into SNAFU Rescue after being purchased at a commercial breeder dog auction. Thanks to the help of generous donors, we were able to secure 12 dogs, now nicknamed the #TheDarlingDozen.

Norm is a quiet pup and loves nothing more than to snooze the day away on any soft surface.  This snuggle bug will find any comfy blanket, rug or pet bed to lounge on. Norm can be shy at first and may take a bit to warm up to new people but once he does he will want all of your love! He is still learning the ways of being a cherished pet!  Norm is a great snuggle partner and enjoys a good belly rub. Yes, he is your normal frenchie couch potato but don’t be fooled by his age, as Norm is young at heart!  Norm is decently active for his age and finds great joy in exploring the backyard!  When the sun is shining, you will find this cutie basking in the rays. Norm likes every person he meets and does amazingly well with kids of all ages.  He has a few furry siblings and his foster family reports he is gentle and does wonderfully with them!  Norm will captivate you with his sweet personality and will hypnotize you with his kind eyes. Here's a warning to his future forever family: be ready for a sweet boy that you won't easily be able to say no to!

Norm is still working on potty training.  He is making wonderful progress and his foster family reports his accidents have become few and far between.  Norm’s new family will need to be patient and willing to keep him a on regular and consistent schedule to help with his continued potty training in his new home. As with all of our dogs, any adopter will need to be able to and willing to continue working on potty training with him.  Norm is completely crate trained and his foster family excitedly reports that he has not had one accident in his crate!  Norm does sleep quietly in his crate when his foster family is away but would prefer a family that can snuggle him at night. For his safety, we recommend that he keep a similar crating schedule when his humans are away from the home and/or he is left unsupervised so he is safe and secure while no one is home.  He does not know danger and must be protected when his humans are not able to supervise him.

Medically, Norm is in great health.  He has been neutered, heartworm tested,  microchipped, had dental and is UTD on vaccinations/dewormings.  Norm has been given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian! Although Norm does not have any issues eating or drinking after having a few teeth extracted during his most recent dental (he has approx 8 teeth left), softening his food with water, green bean juice or cottage cheese has proven to help him eat easier.  Right after dinner, (yep you guessed it) Norm can be found taking his post-dinner nap!

Norm would do well in almost any type of home but having a family that enjoys spending time at home would be ideal.  He loves to lounge around with his people and request a few snuggles throughout the day. A house with a fenced yard is preferred but since Norm doesn’t wander far from his people, a home without a fence or an apartment with fewer stairs would work great for him!  He does amazing on a leash and follows you wherever you go. Norm would love to go to the office with you! He is super quiet and won’t leave your side. If not, that is ok too! Norm would be happy snoozing the day away on a comfy blanket if his new family can arrange a mid-day potty break for him.  If you are looking for a gentle companion that craves a comfy lifestyle and a pup that you can spoil rotten, Norm is your boy!  He just wants a family of his very own where he can live out the rest of his life being spoiled, cherished and loved.

If you feel like your family might be the perfect forever home for Norm, please submit an adoption application for him today!!
