NOTE: Please note that it will likely be at *least* a 3-4 week minimum before you hear back from us after submitting an adoption application.  We typically accept for new applications for a period of 7 days or until 20 applications have been received for any newly available dog.  After that time period, the applications are sent on to the foster family for review and that usually takes from at *least* a few days to a week to sort through the applications, etc.  :-)  Most of our dogs receive several applications so this process does take some time, especially on dogs who are more popular for one reason or another.  We do require phone interviews to be conducted between the foster family and potential adopters, vet reference checks and a home visit to be conducted for all potential adopters, if they are selected as the top choice applicant, which will also take time to complete.   That being said, we do always let our applicants know if they are chosen or not. :-)

IF you happen to not be chosen, please don't feel discouraged as, again, we usually get several applications for each dog, and sometimes it can be very difficult to choose just one adopter.  In those cases, we usually offer to keep the applications for adoption on file for any future dogs that come into our rescue. :-)

ALL adopters are required to come and pick up their adopted dogs in person from the dog's foster home (we do not ship any of our dogs). Please have road/driving transport plans in place to pick up an adopted dog before you apply!  While we are not against adopters flying a foster dog in cabin on a commercial flight, please keep in mind that many are not good candidates for flying due to size and/or being a brachycephalic/short nosed breed.

If an adopter can not keep one of our grads, for any reason at all, at ANY point in time, they *must* be willing and able to return their adopted dog to his/her original foster home, despite distance and any costs that would be required to do so.

Mimzy came into SNAFU Rescue via breeder release. Her breeder wanted her to be placed in a loving pet home to be spoiled and live out her life as a cherished pet.

Mimzy is a typical energetic, happy-go-lucky, active, friendly, playful puppy who loves anyone and everyone she meets!  This exuberant English Bulldog puppy is very high-spirited and quite lovable. She absolutely adores to play with the other frenchie resident siblings in her foster home; she is fearless when it comes to fun with her furry friends!  After a good romp around the house and a gentle game a wrestling with her furry foster siblings, you can find Mimzy requesting to be held like a baby and laying her head down for a much needed bulldog snooze. This girl loves a snuggle and prefers a “holdy” from her humans; she is quite the love bug!  Mimzy is a typical cute clumsy Bulldog puppy… it is all play, play and more play! She worships all known humans, pretty much any person or pup she can convince to provide her with enjoyment and attention. Mimzy is wonderful with children of all ages but due to her young age, she is still learning proper dog manners. She is shy and apprehensive around loud abrupt noises and shows concern around new human faces.  Mimzy will need a patient and understanding family to help her gain confidence around new situations, people and noises, learn proper dog commands and what is expected of her inside the home. Because she is still learning manners and shy around new people, we feel she would do best in a home with children 10 years or older who are calm, gentle and dog savvy. In addition, we feel Mimzy would thrive in a home with another furry friend to love and call her own.  As with all of our dogs, slow introductions to other dogs and children in the household is a must and she should always be supervised to make sure both she and they are kept safe.

Mimzy is still a puppy so potty training is a work in progress.  She has been doing well going potty outside, a regular and consistent schedule will help with continued potty training in her new home.  As with all of our dogs, any adopter will need to be able to and willing to continue working on potty training with her. Mimzy occasionally will have “poop” accidents in the home (she will quickly announce them with a bulldog zoomies) but they are truly becoming fewer and further between. She is completely crate trained and sleeps quietly without any accidents in her crate when her foster family happens to be away from the home as long as she has a comfy blanket to snuggle up in. Mimzy sleeps with her human foster brother at night and would love to continue to sleep with her new family in her new home.

Medically, Mimzy is in great health!   She has been spayed, updated on vaccinations/deworming, heartworm tested, microchipped and has been given of health by our veterinarian!

Mimzy would do well in almost any type of home but since she is still working on potty training and is still mastering the stairs, a house with a fenced yard will be preferred for her.  Since she is leash trained, so a ground floor apartment with an attached yard would also be okay for her. Mimzy is truly a pack animal and needs the hustle and bustle of an active family with other furry members to cuddle with!   A bonus for her would be if she was welcomed into a large family with children! The more people to offer her love and lots of attention the better. Mimzy would love to go to work with her new family if they wanted to take her to the office!   She is a quiet puppy, a pro napper and as mentioned, she loves all people after a slow introduction. If her people are not able to take her to work with them, no problem! She is completely happy sleeping the day away in his crate as long as he has a furry brother or sister to keep her company and if her new family can arrange a potty break for her midday throughout the day!

Mimzy is a very active, typical energetic puppy with boundless energy, so please be ready for the needs and care requirements of a young dog.  If you are looking for an addition to your family that needs and wants your families attention, love and cuddles, then Mimzy just might be for you and your family!

If you feel like your family might be the perfect forever home for Mimzy, please submit an adoption application for her today!!
