NOTE: Please note that it will likely be at *least* a 3-4 week minimum before you hear back from us after submitting an adoption application.  We typically accept for new applications for a period of 7 days or until 20 applications have been received for any newly available dog.  After that time period, the applications are sent on to the foster family for review and that usually takes from at *least* a few days to a week to sort through the applications, etc.  :-)  Most of our dogs receive several applications so this process does take some time, especially on dogs who are more popular for one reason or another.  We do require phone interviews to be conducted between the foster family and potential adopters, vet reference checks and a home visit to be conducted for all potential adopters, if they are selected as the top choice applicant, which will also take time to complete.   That being said, we do always let our applicants know if they are chosen or not. :-)

IF you happen to not be chosen, please don't feel discouraged as, again, we usually get several applications for each dog, and sometimes it can be very difficult to choose just one adopter.  In those cases, we usually offer to keep the applications for adoption on file for any future dogs that come into our rescue. :-)

ALL adopters are required to come and pick up their adopted dogs in person from the dog's foster home (we do not ship any of our dogs). Please have road/driving transport plans in place to pick up an adopted dog before you apply!  While we are not against adopters flying a foster dog in cabin on a commercial flight, please keep in mind that many are not good candidates for flying due to size and/or being a brachycephalic/short nosed breed.

If an adopter can not keep one of our grads, for any reason at all, at ANY point in time, they *must* be willing and able to return their adopted dog to his/her original foster home, despite distance and any costs that would be required to do so.

Manny found his way to the SNAFU rescue via an owner surrender.  His owners wanted to find him a loving pet home to spend the rest of his life being a loved and spoiled pet.

Manny is a playful, social, quiet, affectionate, active yet laid back frenchie boy who loves nap time!  He much prefers humans he is familiar with as he can be a bit apprehensive around strangers coming into his space.  Manny is a velcro frenchie.  Wherever his human is you can always find Manny following right along.  Manny is a BIG fan of playtime which includes all of his favorite toys.  He gravitates to his stuffy toy with a rope and enjoys playing all by himself or with his cherished humans. You can find Manny searching for and nibbling on his loved benebone.  Those bones can keep him occupied for hours!  He needs boundaries set during chew time as Manny can resource guard bones but with verbal correction, he usually will acquiesce.  He enjoys a good game of tug-of-war with his rope today and fancies a good chew.  Manny sure does love to chill.  He will grab a nap in his plush bed any chance he gets and will also settle in quietly with his favorite bones (as long as his human is near).  He truly enjoys the outdoors and is persistent requesting time outside for “walkies” as he is confident with his leash skills.  Exercise keeps Manny happy!  Manny currently lives with several foster furry siblings and they all seem to get along well yet Manny doesn’t actively engage them in play but they all get along well as long as a bone isn’t in site!  At times Manny will growl at strangers entering the home (it has NEVER escalated past a lunge) and because of his insecurities we feel Manny should be kept safe in a separate room so he can be introduced properly to new people. He is very receptive to structure, looks to his leader for guidance/approval and is easy to correct unwanted behavior.  Manny is experiencing a big transition and will need leadership, consistent positive reinforcement to help him continue to learn proper dog behavior, build his confidence, correct his resource guarding issues, learn dog manners and to know what is expected in his adoptive home.  We feel he would prosper in a home with a submissive playful furry pal or equally as well as an only pet as long as his adoptive owners have lots of time to spend with him.  He has been around cats and given his spirited curiosity we think he would do best in a home dog savvy cats or no cats at all.  Manny likes his down time and with the proper introductions and supervision we feel he would fit best with gentle, dog savvy children over the age of 5.  As with all of our dogs, slow introductions to other dogs and children in the household is a must and he should always be supervised to make sure she and they are kept safe.

Manny is 100% potty trained!  His adoptive family will need to be willing and able to keep him on a regular and consistent schedule for his continued potty training success.  His foster family reports he is completely crate trained and will often retreat to his safe space for naps.  Manny is crated at night and when his foster family happens to be away from the home.  For his safety, a similar crating schedule when his humans are away from the home and/or when he is left unsupervised so he is safe and secure.  Since Manny has such love for his humans we feel he would love to share his adoptive family's bed to snuggle the night away!

Medically, Manny is in great health!  He has been neutered, had his nares widened, updated on vaccinations/dewormings, heartworm tested, microchipped and has been given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian! Manny is on joint supplements to help strengthen his back end.  Phytoflex can be found at or

Manny would do best in a house with a fenced yard due to his explorative nature, his desire to be outside and his need to run around!  We think he’d love a family willing to offer tons of playtime, ample walks/exercise and one that has an unlimited supply of benebones :). Manny loves his people and we feel he would do best with a stay at home or work form home parent (albeit not mandatory).  We also think Manny would love to go to work with his new family if they wanted to take him with them to the office knowing that he is content quietly resting in his comfy bed, chewing on his bone as long as his human is near!  Ultimately, Manny is seeking an active, chill home that can offer him structure, guidance, positive reinforcement and patience as he adapts.  He is easy to correct, follows the rules, reacts attentively, slowly adjusts well to new surroundings (slow intros to all things new are a must for his sake and comfort) and would be a loyal family companion. Once you have earned Manny’s trust he just is a big goofy puppy and will never leave your side!
