NOTE: Please note that it will likely be at *least* a 3-4 week minimum before you hear back from us after submitting an adoption application.  We typically accept for new applications for a period of 7 days or until 20 applications have been received for any newly available dog.  After that time period, the applications are sent on to the foster family for review and that usually takes from at *least* a few days to a week to sort through the applications, etc.  :-)  Most of our dogs receive several applications so this process does take some time, especially on dogs who are more popular for one reason or another.  We do require phone interviews to be conducted between the foster family and potential adopters, vet reference checks and a home visit to be conducted for all potential adopters, if they are selected as the top choice applicant, which will also take time to complete.   That being said, we do always let our applicants know if they are chosen or not. :-)

IF you happen to not be chosen, please don't feel discouraged as, again, we usually get several applications for each dog, and sometimes it can be very difficult to choose just one adopter.  In those cases, we usually offer to keep the applications for adoption on file for any future dogs that come into our rescue. :-)

ALL adopters are required to come and pick up their adopted dogs in person from the dog's foster home (we do not ship any of our dogs). Please have road/driving transport plans in place to pick up an adopted dog before you apply!  While we are not against adopters flying a foster dog in cabin on a commercial flight, please keep in mind that many are not good candidates for flying due to size and/or being a brachycephalic/short nosed breed.

If an adopter can not keep one of our grads, for any reason at all, at ANY point in time, they *must* be willing and able to return their adopted dog to his/her original foster home, despite distance and any costs that would be required to do so.

Linkoln found his way into SNAFU via a breeder release. His breeder wanted him to be placed in a loving pet home to be spoiled, loved and live out his life as a cherished pet!

Linkoln is an active, playful, extremely curious, outgoing, super friendly Frenchton boy.  He can be bashful at times when meeting new people.  Link enjoys romping around the house and exploring every inch of his surroundings.  He has an affinity for the outdoors and often requests time outside to take in all the smells.  Most of his outdoor time is spent on walks or just exploring every inch of his fenced yard.  He fancies jaunts around the neighborhood stopping every so often to take in the new scenery and new people. Link must be supervised at all times while outside as he is a young dog still learning the ropes of pet life and doesn’t know danger.   After a perfectly suited walk for his size, Linkoln will search for his favorite toy requesting a game of tug-of-war until he decides to snuggle up in any comfy spot he can find for a much needed nap.  He will always look for his people to partake in a cuddle session during his snooze.  He truly just wants to be with his people all the time as he finds comfort in their presence.  After a much needed puppy nap, he is off to circling the house following his foster siblings around and mimicking all their behaviors.  He will often grab a toy to engage in a game of chase or even some gentle wrestling.  Links overall fun disposition allows him to get along with his furry foster siblings. He does not know danger and should always be supervised as he has a tendency to find items he is not supposed to chew on!  He has a very kind temperament which is favorable when he is around other dogs.  Linkoln seems to get along with any dog of any size.  He has yet to meet any human, big or small, that he hasn’t fallen head over paws for.  Because of his lighthearted disposition, we feel He will do perfectly well with other balanced dogs and with dog savvy, gentle, respectful children of any age.  We also feel Link would thrive in a multi-dog household as he emulates other dog behaviors and picks up quickly on what is expected in the home and proper dog manners.  Slow introductions to other dogs and children in the household is a must and she should always be supervised to make sure both he and they are kept safe.

Linkoln is still working on potty training and his accidents are becoming fewer and further between.  As with all of our dogs, any adopter will need to be patient and willing to continue working on his potty training success as he acclimates to his new home and surroundings. Link is in need of a consistent outside routine and a signal for potty.  He is 100% crate trained and does not have any accidents while crated.  He sleeps quietly when his foster family happens to be away from the home as he has a comfy blanket and his favorite plush bear to keep him company.  Linkoln does sleep in his foster family's bed in the evening but would very much like to continue to share a bed with his adoptive family and offer many cuddles!

Medically, Linkoln is in great health!  He has been neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, updated on vaccinations/dewormings, and has been given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian!

Linkoln would do great in any type of home since he is a champ at going up and down the stairs and is leash trained!  Since he does love to explore the yard and is still learning what can be a danger to him, a house with a completely closed fenced yard will be preferred for him (as opposed to a multiple floor apartment style dwelling).  Since Link is quite a people's Frenchton, we think he would love to eventually go to work with his new family if they wanted to take him with them to the office.  He is in need of some basic training before entering the work space but with some consistent work he would do just fine in time!  If his people are not able to take him to work with them, no problem at all - he's completely happy sleeping the day away as long as he has a furry companion, a warm soft blanket, a safe chew toy and his people can arrange for a mid-day potty break for him!  Linkoln is a little snuggle bug looking for a home that has children to dote on him, another dog(s) to help gain his confidence, one he can be included in most family outdoor activities, can offer him daily walks and lots of love and attention. He really is just a silly boy that loves to play all day and snuggle all night! Is Linkoln your missing link??

If you feel like your family might be the perfect forever home for Link, please submit an adoption application for him.
