NOTE: Please note that it will likely be at *least* a 3-4 week minimum before you hear back from us after submitting an adoption application.  We typically accept for new applications for a period of 7 days or until 20 applications have been received for any newly available dog.  After that time period, the applications are sent on to the foster family for review and that usually takes from at *least* a few days to a week to sort through the applications, etc.  :-)  Most of our dogs receive several applications so this process does take some time, especially on dogs who are more popular for one reason or another.  We do require phone interviews to be conducted between the foster family and potential adopters, vet reference checks and a home visit to be conducted for all potential adopters, if they are selected as the top choice applicant, which will also take time to complete.   That being said, we do always let our applicants know if they are chosen or not. :-)

IF you happen to not be chosen, please don't feel discouraged as, again, we usually get several applications for each dog, and sometimes it can be very difficult to choose just one adopter.  In those cases, we usually offer to keep the applications for adoption on file for any future dogs that come into our rescue. :-)

ALL adopters are required to come and pick up their adopted dogs in person from the dog's foster home (we do not ship any of our dogs). Please have road/driving transport plans in place to pick up an adopted dog before you apply!  While we are not against adopters flying a foster dog in cabin on a commercial flight, please keep in mind that many are not good candidates for flying due to size and/or being a brachycephalic/short nosed breed.

If, an adopter can not keep one of our grads, for any reason at all, at ANY point in time, they *must* be willing and able to return their adopted dog to his/her original foster home, despite distance and any costs that would be required to do so.

Laney found her way into the SNAFU rescue via a breeder release. Her breeder wanted her to be placed in a loving pet home to be spoiled and live out her life as a cherished pet!

Laney is an active, playful girl with an infectious smile who enjoys any squeaky toy and lots of attention. She is full of energy, easy-going and extremely loyal.  After her much desired playtime with every squeaky toy in her toy chest, Laney will look for her human for some much needed pets and cuddle time. She enjoys a good nap on the soft couch and truly prefers her people right next to her during her much needed snooze.  Laney’s overly sweet disposition allows her to famously get along with her high energy foster pug sibling. The two of them can play for hours on end! She is very gentle, even allowing her furry foster brother to share any and all of her treats!  After a good game of chase around the house with her foster brother, Laney will search for her people to offer some thank you kisses and ask for some belly scratchies; she adores any and all kinds of attention! Laney has yet to meet any human, big or small, that she hasn’t loved and loved her back!  Because of her amorous personality, we feel Laney will do amazingly well with other dogs and with dog savvy, respectful children. Slow introductions to other dogs and children in the household is a must and she should always be supervised to make sure both she and they are kept safe.

Laney is still working on potty training and her accidents are becoming fewer and further between.  As with all of our dogs, any adopter will need to be patient and willing to continue working on her potty training success as she acclimates to her new home and surroundings. Laney is 100% crate trained.  She sleeps quietly when her foster family happens to be away from the home as long as she has a comfy blanket and her favorite toy to keep her company. Laney does sleep in her crate in the evening but would much rather share a bed and offer snuggles with her new family!

Medically, Laney is in great health!  She has been spayed, microchipped, heartworm tested, updated on vaccinations/dewormings, and has been given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian!

Laney would do great in any type of home since she is a pro at going up and down the stairs and is completely leash trained!  She does love to explore, so a house with a fenced yard will be preferred for her (opposed to a multiple floor apartment style dwelling).  Since Laney is quiet and polite, we think she would love to go to work with her new family if they wanted to take her with them to the office.  If her people are not able to take her to work with them, no problem at all - she's completely happy sleeping the day away as long as she has a furry sibling to keep her company, a warm soft blanket and her people can arrange for a mid-day potty break for her!  Ultimately, this little Valentine girl is sweet and lovable and will do great in a home that offers the attention and love Laney desires and deserves.
If you feel like your family might be the perfect forever home for Laney, please submit an adoption application for her.
