NOTE: Please note that it will likely be at *least* a 3-4 week minimum before you hear back from us after submitting an adoption application.  We typically accept for new applications for a period of 7 days or until 20 applications have been received for any newly available dog.  After that time period, the applications are sent on to the foster family for review and that usually takes from at *least* a few days to a week to sort through the applications, etc.  :-)  Most of our dogs receive several applications so this process does take some time, especially on dogs who are more popular for one reason or another.  We do require phone interviews to be conducted between the foster family and potential adopters, vet reference checks and a home visit to be conducted for all potential adopters, if they are selected as the top choice applicant, which will also take time to complete.   That being said, we do always let our applicants know if they are chosen or not. :-)

IF you happen to not be chosen, please don't feel discouraged as, again, we usually get several applications for each dog, and sometimes it can be very difficult to choose just one adopter.  In those cases, we usually offer to keep the applications for adoption on file for any future dogs that come into our rescue. :-)

ALL adopters are required to come and pick up their adopted dogs in person from the dog's foster home (we do not ship any of our dogs). Please have road/driving transport plans in place to pick up an adopted dog before you apply!  While we are not against adopters flying a foster dog in cabin on a commercial flight, please keep in mind that many are not good candidates for flying due to size and/or being a brachycephalic/short nosed breed.

If an adopter can not keep one of our grads, for any reason at all, at ANY point in time, they *must* be willing and able to return their adopted dog to his/her original foster home, despite distance and any costs that would be required to do so.

Kale came into SNAFU Rescue via a breeder release.  Her breeder wanted her placed in a loving home to live the rest of her life as an adored and cherished pet.

Kale is an active, playful, outgoing, attention seeking and social Frenchie girl.  Be ready for some indoor playtime and lots of outside time as Kale loves to gallop around the fenced-in backyard.  She is curious about the outdoors and will absolutely explore every inch of the yard being sure she finds all the right spots for a fun game of fetch.  Her happy place is anywhere and everywhere with her people doing whatever they are and demanding to be part of it! Kale is very much in need of lots of attention.  After some fun roaming around in the grass, a game of fetch with her favorite ball or bouncing and rolling around with her beloved stuffed squeaky toy (mostly stealing them from her foster brother), you can find Kale searching for her beloved nylabone and settling in for a quick chew session.  When she is tired, she is searching for her people to snuggle up on their lap for a snooze.  Kale is very playful but she also does have quite a chill side and is as sweet as can be when cuddled up next to her people.  Her favorite place is on the soft couch all cuddled up, pressed into her people while covering herself up with the couch blanket grabbing a much desired snooze. Kale is a social butterfly, seems to get along well with every adult human she meets!  She has an overall sweet disposition (she has not been around children) and because of this we think she would do great in a home that had children 8-10 years or older.  Slow introductions and supervision around children is a must to be sure they and she are kept safe.  Kale is working on her manners and sharing and often will gather all the toys and lay on them to avoid her pesky foster siblings to enjoy them.  Since she is still learning dog manners and proper dog behavior she is in need of leadership to help develop proper dog behavior and help guide her into what is expected in her adoptive home.  Since she tends to guard some of her items (bones, toys etc) with other dogs, we feel she would be paired best with a passive, balanced fur buddy to help show her the ropes of pet life .  Kale is in need of a family willing to work with her on learning manners, what is expected of her in her adoptive home and will need a family who is willing to spend extra time with her and most importantly offer her patience to help build her confidence!

Kale's foster family happily reports she is 90% potty trained.  A regular and consistent schedule will help with her continued potty training success in her new home. Kale  does GREAT in her crate.  She quietly sleeps in her crate when her foster family leaves the home and at night.  For her safety, we recommend a similar crating schedule for her as when her family happens to be away from the home as she does not know danger and is still learning what is expected of her inside the home.  Kale would love to share a bed at night with her adoptive family.  She loves to cuddle and be near her humans at all times!

Medically, Kale seems to be in great health!  She has been spayed, had a dental, nares widened, palate shortened,  updated on vaccinations/dewormings, microchipped, heartworm tested and has been given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian!

Kale would be happiest in a house with a fenced yard (opposed to a multiple floor apartment style dwelling with no yard) because she doesn’t know danger and she loves to be outside playing and running in the yard.  She does do well with small amounts of stairs but her short little legs limit the amount she can do at one time.  We also think she'd love to go work with her new family if they wanted to take her with them to the office! She loves to meet new people, is quiet and prefers to spend as much time with her humans as possible (a stay at home/work from home parent would be ideal for her)!  If her people are not able to take her to work with them, no problem - she's completely happy sleeping part of the day away as long as her people can arrange a mid day potty break for her and she has a fur buddy to keep her company!  Again, she is an energetic, active, very playful girl that is in need of extra attention.  She loves to play, run around the yard, explore and investigate what her people might be doing.  Kale is as sweet as can be, is a total snuggle bug looking for a family to travel with (she loves car rides) and spend as much time as possible with.  If you are looking for a loyal friend that you want to call your own, Kale is your girl!  She would be a loyal best friend offering much love and companionship.

If you feel like your family might be the perfect forever home for Kale, please submit an adoption application for her today!!
