NOTE: Please note that it will likely be at *least* a 3-4 week minimum before you hear back from us after submitting an adoption application.  We typically accept for new applications for a period of 7 days or until 20 applications have been received for any newly available dog.  After that time period, the applications are sent on to the foster family for review and that usually takes from at *least* a few days to a week to sort through the applications, etc.  :-)  Most of our dogs receive several applications so this process does take some time, especially on dogs who are more popular for one reason or another.  We do require phone interviews to be conducted between the foster family and potential adopters, vet reference checks and a home visit to be conducted for all potential adopters, if they are selected as the top choice applicant, which will also take time to complete.   That being said, we do always let our applicants know if they are chosen or not. :-)

IF you happen to not be chosen, please don't feel discouraged as, again, we usually get several applications for each dog, and sometimes it can be very difficult to choose just one adopter.  In those cases, we usually offer to keep the applications for adoption on file for any future dogs that come into our rescue. :-)

ALL adopters are required to come and pick up their adopted dogs in person from the dog's foster home (we do not ship any of our dogs). Please have road/driving transport plans in place to pick up an adopted dog before you apply!  While we are not against adopters flying a foster dog in cabin on a commercial flight, please keep in mind that many are not good candidates for flying due to size and/or being a brachycephalic/short nosed breed.

If an adopter can not keep one of our grads, for any reason at all, at ANY point in time, they *must* be willing and able to return their adopted dog to his/her original foster home, despite distance and any costs that would be required to do so.

Gomez found his way into SNAFU via a breeder release. His breeder wanted him to be placed in a loving pet home to be spoiled, loved, and live out his life as a cherished pet!

Gomez is an active, playful, extremely curious, outgoing, and super friendly French Bulldog.  He can be bashful at times when meeting new people.  Gomez is unsure of new environments but quickly warms up to new people and places after he can properly scope it out.  He enjoys romping around the house and exploring every inch of his surroundings.  Gomez is obsessed with his toy dinosaur and will play a game of run and chase between his kennel and his bed.  Although his trusty dinosaur is his ABSOLUTE favorite, he does perceive anything on the floor as a valid toy option. Gomez must be supervised at all times while outside and inside as he is a young dog still learning the ropes of pet life and doesn’t know danger.  Gomez has an affinity for the warmer outdoors and often requests time outside to take in all the smells.  Most of his outdoor time is spent just exploring every inch of his fenced yard.  Gomez is NOT at all a fan of the colder weather and would much rather curl up inside with his beloved chew (his favorite is a nylabone) and nibble away until he decides to snuggle up in any comfy spot he can find for a much-needed nap.  Gomez will always look for his people to partake in a cuddle session during his snooze.  He truly just wants to be with his people all the time as he finds comfort in their presence.  After a much-needed puppy nap, he is off to circling the house following his foster sibling around and mimicking all their behaviors.  He would thrive in a home with another playful dog that will match his energy level and have the patience for puppy-like shenanigans.  Gomez has an overall fun disposition which allows him to get along with his furry foster sibling. He does not know danger and should always be supervised as he tends to find items he is not supposed to chew on!  He has a very kind temperament which is favorable when he is around other dogs although he can be an attention hog!  He has yet to meet any human, big or small, that he hasn’t fallen head over paws for.  He can be shy at first, but after the shyness wears off and the humans gain his trust, Gomez is off flirting his way into their hearts.  Because of his lighthearted disposition, we feel Gomez will do perfectly well with other balanced dogs and with dog-savvy, gentle, respectful children 5 years or older.  We also feel Gomez would thrive in a multi-dog household as he emulates other dog behaviors and picks up quickly on what is expected in the home and proper dog manners.  Slow introductions to other dogs and children in the household are a must and she should always be supervised to make sure both he and they are kept safe.

Gomez is still working on potty training and his accidents are becoming fewer and further between.  He does copy the resident dogs outside habits but has been on the struggle bus perfecting the potty training game as this cutie pie does not like the cold weather.  As with all of our dogs, any adopter will need to be patient and willing to continue working on his potty training success as he acclimates to his new home and surroundings. Gomez needs a consistent outside routine and a signal for potty.  He is 100% crate trained and does not have any accidents while crated.  He has voiced his displeasure with his crate from time to time but will eventually quiet down.  He sleeps in his crate when his foster family happens to be away from the home as he has a comfy blanket and a furry friend to keep him company.  Gomez sometimes sleeps in his crate in the evening but would much rather share a bed and offer many cuddles with his new family!

Medically, Gomez is in great health!  He has been neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, nares widened, updated on vaccinations/dewormings, and has been given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian!

Gomez would do great in any type of home since that has a little number of stairs (he is not accustomed to large staircases and would have to be given proper guidance if his adoptive home had many stairs).  Since he does love to explore the yard and is still learning what can be a danger to him, a house with a completely closed fenced yard will be preferred for him (as opposed to a multiple-floor apartment-style dwelling).  Since Gomez is quite a people's French Bulldog, we think he would love to eventually go to work with his new family if they wanted to take him with them to the office.  He needs some basic training before entering the workspace but with some consistent work, he would do just fine!  If his people are not able to take him to work with them, no problem at all - he's completely happy sleeping the day away and would greatly benefit from a part-time work-from-home or stay-at-home parent.  During his time alone he would do great as long as he has a furry companion, a warm soft blanket, and a safe chew toy, and his people can arrange for a potty break for him (if gone for more than just a few hours)!  Gomez is a little snuggle bug looking for a home that has a family to dote on him, another dog to help gain his confidence, one he can be included in most family outdoor activities, and can offer him daily walks and lots of love and attention (and patience to master potty training). He really is just a silly boy that loves to play all day and snuggle all night!

If you feel like your family might be the perfect forever home for Gomez, please submit an adoption application for him.
