Frannie came into SNAFU Rescue after being purchased at a commercial breeder dog auction.
Frannie is a silly, very outgoing girl and has been doing great about adjusting to life as a pet in her foster home. Sometimes dogs who are raised in the commercial breeding system are more shy and introverted, especially until the learn the routine of the household, but Frannie has *always* been a happy, outgoing and bouncy girl. She seems to get along well with everyone she meets and does well with most of the other dogs in her foster home. She will need a home with other submissive dogs who will not challenge her. While she doesn't usually instigate, she will happily stand up for herself, if another dog decides to get out of line. She corrects easily, however, and overall just seems to be a people pleaser! She does enjoy running, playing and wrestling with the other dogs in her current foster home. While she does not live with children, we think she would be fine with respectful, gentle children in her new home, should they happen to have kiddos.
Frannie is currently still working on potty training. As with most of our dogs, a regular, consistent schedule will help with her continued potty training in her new home. She has also done great with crate training, while she does bark a tiny bit initially when kenneled (especially at dinner time - bring her the food! LOL), she sleeps quietly in her kennel during the night or when her foster family happens to leave the home. For her safety, we recommend that she keep a similar crating schedule when her humans are away from the home and/or she is left unsupervised so she is safe and secure while no one is home. She does not know danger and is still learning the life of a beloved, cherished pet.
Medically, Frannie seems to be in great health! As with many Frenchies, Frannie may have mild allergies (controlled with daily Zyrtec). She has no other known health issues. She has been spayed, had a dental and is UTD on all of her vaccinations/wormings.
Frannie would do well in almost any type of home but since she is still working on potty training, and does not know how to potty on a leash, a home with a fenced yard will be preferred for her. She seems to have no issues going up and down stairs, at all, and has been doing great with it so far! She is very active and not much will slow this girl down! We also think she'd love to go work with her new family if they wanted to take her with them to the office, as long as the office was pet friendly. If not, she's completely happy sleeping the day away in her kennel!
