Claire was surrendered to SNAFU Rescue via breeder release. Her breeder wanted her to be placed in a loving pet home and to live the rest of her life as a loved and cherished pet.

Claire is overly optimistic, inspiring, charming, cheerful and sweet as can be! She is just a doll who offers many kisses, requests unlimited pets and scratchies and loves soft beds, blankets and napping.  Claire bear has a reserved personality but as she gets comfortable she is making the rounds around her foster home welcoming guests with her infectious smile!  She adores all dogs and all people. Claire is such a mama bear making sure everyone in the household feels loved, is offered the proper amount of doggy kisses and is very well taken care of.  She is a velcro frenchie girl that loves nothing more than to be cuddled up next to her foster family on any comfy surface they are on.  After grabbing a little nap you can find this adorable girl discovering the fun in every toy that she puts in her mouth.  Claire waits for the Amazon delivery truck in hopes there is a cardboard box that ends up on the stoop for her to tear into.  Who knew a box could be so fun!  Claire truly can find the fun in just about anything and anyone!  She can be the ultimate couch potato but don’t be fooled by her age as she is young at heart!  Claire has a very kind loving disposition and just wants to be loved and surrounded but those that love her.  She currently lives with a furry foster sibling and due to their size she was a bit intimidated at first.  After a few short days they became besties!  She acknowledges the existence of all dogs she has encountered regardless of size due to her curiosity.  The world is her oyster and she insists on soaking up every new moment she can.  She is experiencing a big change into pet life and will need a patient and understanding  family that is willing to offer her the space she needs to properly develop into pet life and to learn what is expected of her in the home. She ABSOLUTELY adores every human (big or small) she has met. Claire really takes to small children.  She will gently climb in their laps and offer them as many kisses as they allow.  She even has  comforted a crying baby.  Her instincts are kind, sweet and extremely gentle.  Claire would do best with children of any age who are gentle and dog savvy.  In addition, we do believe she would really enjoy the company of a furry pal!  As with all of our dogs, slow introductions to both other dogs and children are must to ensure everyone is kept safe.

Claire is doing amazingly well with potty training.  Her accidents are becoming fewer and further between in her foster home because she is kept on a consistent outside schedule. Claire will wait by the door to go outside; she is in need of a signal for potty.  Claire’s adoptive family will need to be willing and able to keep her on a regular and consistent schedule for her continued potty training success.  She has also done great (actually amazing) with crate training and sleeps quietly in her crate when his foster family happens to leave the home and at night. Given Claire loves soft comfy things, she would love nothing more than to have her crate appointed with a soft crate pad and plush blanket. We do know that she would prefer to sleep in her foster family's bed at night as she loves nothing more than to be around her people at all times and has an affinity for the softer things in life!  For her safety, we recommend that she keep a similar crating schedule when her humans are away from the home and/or he is left unsupervised so she is safe and secure while no one is home. She does not know danger and is still learning what is expected of her inside the home.

Medically, Claire seems to be in good health.  She has been spayed, heartworm tested, updated on vaccinations/dewormings, is microchipped and has been given the ok for adoption by our veterinarian! Claire has developed arthritis in her front legs and would benefit from a daily joint supplement to help with the stiffness.  In addition, she has those pesky Frenchie allergies!  She would benefit from a daily allergy pill in addition to a cytopoint during high allergy months.

Claire would do well in almost any type of home but a house with a fenced yard with little to no stairs will be preferred for her (opposed to a multiple floor apartment style dwelling with many stairs). Direct access to the backyard to explore with ease would be great as she continues to age as stairs may become an issue in the future due to her arthritis.  She would also love a pair of loving arms to carry her up and down a few stairs.  Claire would be a great apartment dog (1st floor with access to a fenced in area) as she is a quiet pup that rarely barks.  Claire would prefer a family with children as she surely loves the attention from the littles.  We think she'd love to go to work with her new family as Claire is super quiet and loves to be around her people at all times!   You are not able to take her to work- not a problem!  She does enjoy the comfort of her space and bed at home as long as she isn’t left for more than 4-5 hours.  She is completely happy sleeping the part of the day away in her kennel as long as her people can arrive home and take her out for her mid-day potty break.

Claire has a super sweet temperament that adores and enjoys all people!  She loves attention, walks in a stroller or wagon and just being around those she cherishes the most.  She is searching for a patient family to teach her all the spoiled ways of pet life!

If you feel like your family might be the perfect forever home for Claire, please submit an adoption application for her today!!

NOTE: Please note that it will likely be at *least* a 3-4 week minimum before you hear back from us after submitting an adoption application.  We typically accept for new applications for a period of 7 days or until 20 applications have been received for any newly available dog.  After that time period, the applications are sent on to the foster family for review and that usually takes from at *least* a few days to a week to sort through the applications, etc.  :-)  Most of our dogs receive several applications so this process does take some time, especially on dogs who are more popular for one reason or another.  We do require phone interviews to be conducted between the foster family and potential adopters, vet reference checks and a home visit to be conducted for all potential adopters, if they are selected as the top choice applicant, which will also take time to complete.   That being said, we do always let our applicants know if they are chosen or not. :-)

IF you happen to not be chosen, please don't feel discouraged as, again, we usually get several applications for each dog, and sometimes it can be very difficult to choose just one adopter.  In those cases, we usually offer to keep the applications for adoption on file for any future dogs that come into our rescue. :-)

ALL adopters are required to come and pick up their adopted dogs in person from the dog's foster home (we do not ship any of our dogs). Please have road/driving transport plans in place to pick up an adopted dog before you apply!  While we are not against adopters flying a foster dog in cabin on a commercial flight, please keep in mind that many are not good candidates for flying due to size and/or being a brachycephalic/short nosed breed.

If an adopter can not keep one of our grads, for any reason at all, at ANY point in time, they *must* be willing and able to return their adopted dog to his/her original foster home, despite distance and any costs that would be required to do so.
