NOTE: Please note that it will likely be at *least* a 3-4 week minimum before you hear back from us after submitting an adoption application. We typically accept for new applications for a period of 7 days or until 20 applications have been received for any newly available dog. After that time period, the applications are sent on to the foster family for review and that usually takes from at *least* a few days to a week to sort through the applications, etc. :-) Most of our dogs receive several applications so this process does take some time, especially on dogs who are more popular for one reason or another. We do require phone interviews to be conducted between the foster family and potential adopters, vet reference checks and a home visit to be conducted for all potential adopters, if they are selected as the top choice applicant, which will also take time to complete. That being said, we do always let our applicants know if they are chosen or not. :-)
IF you happen to not be chosen, please don't feel discouraged as, again, we usually get several applications for each dog, and sometimes it can be very difficult to choose just one adopter. In those cases, we usually offer to keep the applications for adoption on file for any future dogs that come into our rescue. :-)
ALL adopters are required to come and pick up their adopted dogs in person from the dog's foster home (we do not ship any of our dogs). Please have road/driving transport plans in place to pick up an adopted dog before you apply! While we are not against adopters flying a foster dog in cabin on a commercial flight, please keep in mind that many are not good candidates for flying due to size and/or being a brachycephalic/short nosed breed.
If an adopter can not keep one of our grads, for any reason at all, at ANY point in time, they *must* be willing and able to return their adopted dog to his/her original foster home, despite distance and any costs that would be required to do so.

CeeCee came into SNAFU Rescue after being purchased at a commercial breeder dog auction. Thanks to the help of generous donors we were able to secure 12 dogs, now nicknamed the #DarlingDozen.
CeeCee is a sweet little girl. She loves nothing more than to cuddle, take naps, more naps. CeeCee is rather shy and anxious around strangers and prefers to be around her people for reassurance. She will need a firm, consistent leader(s) in her adoptive home to help her build confidence and learn trust with strangers. She has some separation anxiety and is most comfortable either in her kennel or in arms of someone she trusts. CeeCee prefers not to be left in a room alone. Instead she would rather find her favorite spot and snuggle in her kennel. Although CeeCee is gaining confidence and becoming more playful every day, it is important to remember she is dealing with a big transition and as such will need a patient and understanding family. She does not seem to prefer the company of other dogs, and would likely do best in a house without other dogs. CeeCee’s foster home has no cats, so it is unknown how CeeCee would co-exist with a cat. Due to this, we will be looking for a home with no kitties, in order to err on the side of caution. As with all of our dogs, slow introductions to other dogs and children in the household is a must and she should always be supervised when around children to make sure both she and they are kept safe.
CeeCee is still working on potty training. While she doesn't have accidents in her kennel, she has had some accidents in the house. A regular, consistent schedule will help with her continue potty training in her new home. As with all of our dogs, any adopter will need to be patient and willing to continue working on potty training. CeeCee is crate trained and currently sleeps in her crate during the night and during the daytime when her foster family is at work. For her safety, we recommend that she keep a similar crating/x-pen schedule when her humans are away and/or she is left unsupervised, so she is safe and secure. She does not know danger (what is okay to chew on or not) and is still learning what is expected of her inside the home.
Medically, CeeCee seems to be in great health! She has been spayed, microchipped, updated on vaccinations/dewormings, heartworm tested, and has been given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian!
CeeCee would do well in almost any type of home but since she is still working on potty training and currently learning how to potty on a harness and leash, a house with a fenced yard will be preferred for her (opposed to a multiple floor apartment style dwelling with no yard), but it is not a requirement for adoption. Ultimately, she is sweet and lovable and will do great in any home that can play with her and give her the attention and love she needs and deserves. We know she’d love a family willing to offer tons of attention and who enjoys lots of cuddles. We also think CeeCee would love to go work with her new family if they wanted to take her with them to the office! If her people are not able to take her to work with them, no problem at all - she's completely happy sleeping the day away in her crate as long she has a warm soft blanket and her people can arrange for a mid-day potty break for her!
If you feel like your family might be the perfect forever home for CeeCee, please submit an adoption application for her today!!
