Blondie found her way into SNAFU via a private party. Her family wanted her to be placed in a loving pet home to be spoiled, loved, and live out her life as a cherished pet!

Blondie is an active, playful, attention-seeking, social, outgoing, and friendly Frug.  She enjoys romping around the house and exploring every inch of her surroundings.  Blondie is incredibly active and desires extra play sessions with her furry foster brothers, with little humans, and even the resident cat!  It is play play all day for this cutie pie.  When she isn’t running, jumping, chewing on bones, trying to destroy her beloved toys, or playing bitey-face (sounds exhausting!), Blondie will finally settle in for a much-needed puppy snooze.  After her nap, she will request a game of tug-of-war or even a little gentle wrestling with her furry friends.  Yes, Blondie is all play, play, and more play!  Once the fun and excitement are over, she will search for her beloved bone and snuggle up in any comfy spot to yet again grab a snooze in the hope her favorite human is available to snuggle.  Blondie will always look for her people to partake in a cuddle session during her snooze.  She truly just wants to be with her people all the time as she finds comfort in their presence and the attention she is offered.  After another much-needed puppy nap, she is off circling the house following her foster siblings around, mimicking their behaviors, and stealing their toys.  Blondie’s overall fun, happy disposition allows her to get along with his furry foster siblings but her overzealous personality can be a bit much for an older reserved dog. Blondie does not know danger and should always be supervised as she is still a young dog learning what is expected of her in the home.  She has a very lovable and docile temperament which is favorable when she is around other dogs. She has yet to meet any human, big or small, that she hasn’t fallen head over paws for.  Because of her lighthearted disposition, we feel Blondie will do perfectly well with playful dogs and with do-savvy, gentle, respectful children of any age.  Blondie is still a young puppy and she comes with all the puppy tendencies; finger nibbles, jumping, etc.  She needs some basic puppy training to learn what is expected of her in the home.  We also feel Blondie would thrive in a multi-dog household as she emulates other dog behaviors and picks up quickly on what is expected in the home and proper dog manners.  She is cat friendly too as long as the cat is do-savvy!  Blondie would also do great as an only dog ASSUMING her adoptive owners are ready to play and keep her busy/stimulated.  Slow introductions to other dogs and children in the household are a must and she should always be supervised to make sure both she and they are kept safe.

Blondie is still perfecting potty training; her foster home reported she is 99% trained!  She is progressing very well with the help of her furry friends but will need a consistent schedule to help (she does indicate she has to go be waiting at the door).  As with all of our dogs, any adopter must be patient and willing to continue working on his potty training success as she acclimates to her new home and surroundings. Blondie needs an outside routine, positive reinforcement, and a proper signal for potty.  She is 100% crate trained and does not have any accidents in her crate.  She sleeps quietly when her foster family happens to be away from the home and adorably will rest her little head on a comfy blanket.  Blondie does sleep in her crate in the evening but would much rather share a bed and offer snuggles to her new family!

Medically, Blondie is in great health!  She has been spayed, microchipped, heartworm tested, nares widened, updated on vaccinations/dewormings, and has been given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian!

Blondie would do great in any type of home since she is a champ at going up and down the stairs!  Since she does love to explore the yard and is still perfecting her potty training skills, a house with a completely closed fenced yard will be preferred for her (as opposed to a multiple-floor apartment-style dwelling).  An apartment with a ground-level unit with a fenced yard would be okay for Blondie as long as she is offered the desired exercise she needs.  She requires space to let her energy out!  Since Blondie is quite a people's Frug, we think she would love to eventually go to work with her new family if they wanted to take her with them to the office (a very calm and quiet office would initially not be ideal for her).  She needs some basic training before entering the workspace but with some consistent work, she would do just fine (eventually)!  If her people are not able to take her to work with them, no problem at all - she's completely happy sleeping the day away as long as she has a warm soft blanket and her people can arrange for a mid-day potty break or two for her!  Blondie is a little snuggle bug looking for a home that has an active family to dote on her, one with lots of people to play with her, can be included in most family outdoor activities, can offer her the exercise she desires, and lots of love and attention. Blondie is such a great little girl that is full of personality that will offer a family so much joy, love, and happiness.  Please be prepared for the ongoing care requirements that are needed to take care of a young dog.  Blondie is full of energy and needs a family that is willing and able to match her levels!

If you feel like your family might be the perfect forever home for Blondie, please submit an adoption application for her today.

NOTE: Please note that it will likely be at *least* a 3-4 week minimum before you hear back from us after submitting an adoption application.  We typically accept for new applications for a period of 7 days or until 20 applications have been received for any newly available dog.  After that time period, the applications are sent on to the foster family for review and that usually takes from at *least* a few days to a week to sort through the applications, etc.  :-)  Most of our dogs receive several applications so this process does take some time, especially on dogs who are more popular for one reason or another.  We do require phone interviews to be conducted between the foster family and potential adopters, vet reference checks and a home visit to be conducted for all potential adopters, if they are selected as the top choice applicant, which will also take time to complete.   That being said, we do always let our applicants know if they are chosen or not. :-)

IF you happen to not be chosen, please don't feel discouraged as, again, we usually get several applications for each dog, and sometimes it can be very difficult to choose just one adopter.  In those cases, we usually offer to keep the applications for adoption on file for any future dogs that come into our rescue. :-)

ALL adopters are required to come and pick up their adopted dogs in person from the dog's foster home (we do not ship any of our dogs). Please have road/driving transport plans in place to pick up an adopted dog before you apply!  While we are not against adopters flying a foster dog in cabin on a commercial flight, please keep in mind that many are not good candidates for flying due to size and/or being a brachycephalic/short nosed breed.

If an adopter can not keep one of our grads, for any reason at all, at ANY point in time, they *must* be willing and able to return their adopted dog to his/her original foster home, despite distance and any costs that would be required to do so.

We are no longer accepting applications for Blondie!
