NOTE: Please note that it will likely be at *least* a 3-4 week minimum before you hear back from us after submitting an adoption application.  We typically accept for new applications for a period of 7 days or until 20 applications have been received for any newly available dog.  After that time period, the applications are sent on to the foster family for review and that usually takes from at *least* a few days to a week to sort through the applications, etc.  :-)  Most of our dogs receive several applications so this process does take some time, especially on dogs who are more popular for one reason or another.  We do require phone interviews to be conducted between the foster family and potential adopters, vet reference checks and a home visit to be conducted for all potential adopters, if they are selected as the top choice applicant, which will also take time to complete.   That being said, we do always let our applicants know if they are chosen or not. :-)

IF you happen to not be chosen, please don't feel discouraged as, again, we usually get several applications for each dog, and sometimes it can be very difficult to choose just one adopter.  In those cases, we usually offer to keep the applications for adoption on file for any future dogs that come into our rescue. :-)

ALL adopters are required to come and pick up their adopted dogs in person from the dog's foster home (we do not ship any of our dogs). Please have road/driving transport plans in place to pick up an adopted dog before you apply!  While we are not against adopters flying a foster dog in cabin on a commercial flight, please keep in mind that many are not good candidates for flying due to size and/or being a brachycephalic/short nosed breed.

If an adopter can not keep one of our grads, for any reason at all, at ANY point in time, they *must* be willing and able to return their adopted dog to his/her original foster home, despite distance and any costs that would be required to do so.

Baby was surrendered to the SNAFU Rescue via private party. Her owner fell ill and wanted her to be placed in a loving pet home and to live the rest of her life as a loved and cherished pet.

Baby is a sweet, laidback little girl who absolutely loves to be cuddled and snuggled.  She has a social personality around those she trusts and enjoys hanging out on the sofa with her trusted people.  Baby seeks attention and prefers to be everywhere and anywhere her foster family is.  She adores all people (big and small) and quickly warms up to all new people she meets.  Nap time is her favorite time! There is not a couch, dog bed or lap that she won’t lay on during her many daily naps or even when tuning into her favorite TV show.  When Baby is done tuning into her favorite shows, she will search for her favorite plush squeaky toy and romp around with it on the floor. Baby does have quite the curious side and enjoys spending time exploring the backyard taking in all the fall smells.  The best day ever would be to be accompanied by her beloved small human to join her in some playtime in the yard.  After burning off some energy outdoors, Baby is requesting to find her favorite spot on the couch to take in some pets, cuddles and snuggles from her humans.  She currently lives with several furry foster siblings.  Although Baby does well with both big/small dogs and cats she gravitates towards pets her size.  She would much rather watch her foster siblings from the sidelines and fully take advantage of extra snuggles and cuddles with her foster family.   Baby is working on her manners and trying to find her place in the pack. She is VERY food motivated and can try and steal snacks away from her foster siblings.  This unwanted behavior is corrected and is something she will continue to work on.  She is still learning what is expected of her in the home and working on proper dog manners.  Baby finds GREAT comfort in being with her human and because of this we feel she would thrive and be very happy in a home as an only pet or one with a calm, gentle, passive dog of her size.  As with all of our dogs, slow introductions to other dogs in the household is necessary to keep both her and them safe.  She has been around small children and she is extremely patient, kind and gentle with them.  Baby really loves all people that can pay her attention and because of this we feel she would do just best around dog savvy, respectful children of any age.  She should always be supervised when she is around children to make sure both she and they are kept safe.

Baby’s foster family happily reports she is completely potty trained!  She made fast progress and picked it up quickly due to a strict outside schedule!  Her adoptive family will need to be patient, willing and able to keep her on a regular and consistent schedule for her continued potty training success.  Baby is fully crate trained and sleeps quietly in her crate now is completely accident free!  She does prefer her crate as she takes comfort in this safe space.  Baby is such a snuggle bug and would love it if she could share a human bed with her adoptive family.  For her safety, we recommend a similar crating arrangement is suggested when her humans are away from the home and/or when she is left unsupervised so she is safe and secure while no one is at home.

Medically, Baby seems to be in great health. She has been spayed, updated on vaccinations/dewormings, heartworm tested, microchipped and has been given the okay to adopt by our veterinarian.

Baby would do best in a house with a fenced yard since she would most certainly run if not kept secure on a leash. In addition, this curious girl loves the outdoors and would benefit greatly being kept safe and secure with a fenced-in yard.  A home with stairs is okay as Baby is a champ with stairs.  We also feel that Baby would be a good pet for a multiple floor apartment style home as long as she has an attached fenced yard on the ground level for her safety.  Work from home or a stay at home parent? Baby would love that!!! Otherwise, we think she'd love to go work with her new family if they wanted to take her with them to the office as she prefers not to be away from her people!  If her people are not able to take her to work with them, no problem at all - she's completely happy sleeping the day away as long as she has a warm soft blanket and her people can arrange for a mid-day potty break for her!  Baby is looking for a family to call her very own, and would be happiest with one with several family members to dote on her and one that will offer her unlimited snuggles.  Ultimately this sweet little girl will be a shadow dog, a loyal friend and will share her love for unlimited naps and TV time.

If you feel like your family might be the perfect forever home for Baby, please submit an adoption application for her today!!
